Confusion: Tapas Du Monde
Located in the Latin Quarter, Confusion is an ideal destination for a weekend night gathering. The place is well nested on the busy St-Denis street yet cozy from the inside. It is beautifully decorated with swings hanging from the wall serving as chairs.
Tapas from around the world sound like a dream to any travelling foodie.
We started off with Greek Saganaki flaming cheese with a shot of Ouzo, followed by Armenian sausages with spicy tomatoes also known as Soujouk. We then dived into the French farm/meat section: Prime cut beef with maple syrup and red wine sauce accompanied with sautéed mushrooms, braised beef cheek with red wine sauce and thyme, and duck leg confit with blue cheese aligot – a side of melted cheese blended into mashed potatoes with garlic.
If you love your salads, then make sure to try the beet salad with goat cheese. For the carb lovers, you do not want to miss out on the Indian Nann bread with tapenade. In addition, the sweet potato fries are thick and lightly fried with truffle oil and are enjoyed with truffle-flavored mayonnaise.
Nothing compares to ending the night while indulging on the delicious Mexican spicy chocolate lava cake, served with caramel ice cream. Moist and full of flavour.
At Confusion, the food is beyond delicious and the selection is wide. You get to taste different cuisines, it sure will make you want to come back again for another dinner that sums flavours from around the world.
